Hi
I wonder if anyone can help? I ordered a vm tv package but cancelled within their 30 day guarantee so no charges incurred. On the day I cancelled I arranged for the set top box collection for today. No-one has showed so just called them and been told by one of the overseas call centres that due to an 'error' no-one would be turning up today. I then offered another date in the morning and various evening times to be in but told no good/don't work evenings. They keep asking me to pick another day but as I work pretty much 7 days a week taking today off has cost me money.
The call centre operative eventually put me through to his supervisor who was just as difficult even when I was explaining my difficulties. I eventually lost my rag (yes I know, bad form but they were driving me nuts) and told them that I would be in on the 22nd a.m and if no-one turned up then I would charge them a daily storage fee for the box as I was getting so narked. I wasn't really planning on charging them I just thought they may start to appreciate how difficult time off is for me, but the supervisor just started laughing at me and asked (between laughs) whether I was running a storage business out of my house. I'm fuming now, she didn't want to deal with me and eventually rang off so I'm wondering what my rights are.
They agreed that they messed up today and I've now offered them two evening dates and one day date to collect which they say no-one 'is in the area'. I've been warned to get the box back withint a month or they charge me for it! Any ideas/help/advice what to do....does anyone have a complaint letter address?/can I charge a daily fee until they collect at a time that suits me?
I'm still angry and really quite upset now.
Thanks guys

Hi,
My advice is NOT TO WORRY about their threats. The companies that are employed to pick up virgin boxes are so behind that they are still collecting boxes from 2008. It will be their responsibility to keep visiting your house till they eventually get the box. An alternative to this is to get them to collect from another address, neighbour, relative or workplace on a given day. They very seldom charge you for the box only if they have called a number of times and seen you at the door and you refuse to hand it over!!!:T0
