Everyday people vote for the Government and the press in 1945 turned against certain people in 1945 to appease Stalin because it was guided that way.

If it comes back to bite you 60 years on then who will you blame, your parents or grand parents?

Do I stick to a big well known company (that employs many in the trade), or a self employed tradesman? I guess it depends on the level of service offered as well as the price its going to cost me. I have no doubt either one would offer me some kind of guarantee.

Offering a guarantee is one thing, actually carrying it out is another.....;)

I used to work for a multi million pound company, high charges, very pro website etc. But, they took every opportunity to rip a client where possible. Re-calls or warranty work took last place on the list of priorities, as it was not chargeable...

No need, I have plenty of work thanks. There are in fact people out there who understand that they get what they pay for....:p

Back on the subject of the Polish........

I have no problem with foreign people, thier religeons etc. We are all human beings, all equal. We should respect each other and get along. It's people like you who re-hash history at every opportunity that are the problem. You even manged to cry "racist" at the first opportunity you could on this thread. History is just that - the past, leave it be..........

The only people that want to leave the past as it is are the guilty ones with something to hide. If you really believe that the don't support Poppy Day, St George's day etc etc etc and I did not cry "racist" as in my opinion it was a racist comment.

And as Sturll said "To be honest i can't do with the Poles, i cant really do with any immigrant taking up the jobs of British" to me that is a racist comment that belongs to the BNP, replace Poles with the N or P word and it's still wrong and racist.

She'd have to be a good age to remember life under Stalin - he died in 1953!
