The only LLU service you have is Talk Talk, and you don't have access to cable internet. You really have to tell us a bit more to work out which company would be best for you - how much you download etc.
Thinkbroadband.com is a good place to start to find out about different ISPs.0 -
The only LLU operator in your exchange is Talk Talk, so that is the only one of the so called cheaper options.been looking at load of threads and i still dont no what company to go with for my broadband iam with aol at moment but ive looked at the sam says site to see what service i have in my area and ive no idea what iam looking for if someone can check my exchange in my area and point me in the right direction on what i should go for id be greatfull my exchange is ( sacriston )

You do not have cable ie Virgin in your area.
So you are limited to the providers who use Bt ADSL max. The price of those depends on the type of service you require.
You are in a market 2 exchange so do not qualify for the Plusnet value which is £5.99 per month.
PS you must be somewhere near Beamish, what a lovely museum.
PPS just noticed that beecher beat me to it!!0 -

TalkTalk is LLU on the Sacriston exchange, but it's not yet ADSL2 enabled so I don't see how they can be claiming speeds higher than 8MBps.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Hi Johnny4,
TalkTalk offer upto 24 meg connections as they do not use the BT exchange equipment. Your line would be removed from BTs equipment at the exchange and connected to TalkTalk equipment. Standard LLU connections offer connection speeds upto 8 meg and with an additional "Turbo Boost" for £4 per month the 8 meg cap can be removed allowing speeds of upto 24 meg. We would need to check your modem stats etc before offereing a "Turbo Boost" to make sure you were going to get some use out of it.
If you need any more information please let me know.
Cheers
