I don't know who your creditors are, but if this helps, i had a letter off the HSBC and Alliance and Leicester, also MBNA all recommending the cccs.
Maybe something to do with it.

They are all with Lloyds TSB unfortunately and I know they are not the easiest to deal with, some of them even when we rang lloyds to tell them we have a CCCS appointment coming up a few weeks back did not know what we were talking about (well that is what they said).....we offered to give them the client ref number and none of them wanted to know.

    2 unsecured loans
    1 credit card
    1 Overdraft.

    All lloyds.

My hubby lost his job a little while back and insurance does not last for ever as you know, I care full time for my son with needs and currently we are living on benefits, we asked if they could hold back on the 2 loans so we could pay more on the mortgage arrears and they would not have it, yet the mortgage is through them as well...Chelt & Glos......

But since the appointment we have been sent letters to send out to them from CCCS to offer token payments, and going by from what I have read on here they are hard work, we must keep trying.;)

This is why it's NEVER a good idea to call.

Those you call / ring you operate in a call centre, their sole purpose is to get what they can out of you, they have NO interest in your financial position, their working to strict targets and bonuses, explaining your personal circumstances are wasted on them.
Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional

Very true I agree, a fortnight or so ago we spent almost 2 hours on the phone as advised by our local branch to call them, and were passed on to about 5 maybe 6 departments, a total waste of time, your right.

di, it's not a choice for them to accept / refuse.

You pay what you can afford, one issue to beware of, making reduced payments will place you in breach of the agreements T&Cs.

Whether Lloyds agree or not to reduced payment, they will still take whatever action they see fit.

You're a long, long, long, long, long, way from that happening.

And even "if" bailiffs were appointed, we have bailiffs experts on here to assist you.
