How can i get a DMP

I have a legal aid debt advisor, but feel a DMP is the only option as i have now been threatened with bailiffs removing and selling my furniture, that was the HSBC.
The legal aid company have advised £1 per month to multiple creditors, but that will always be reviewed in a few months so will never go, they have all refused this but one or two low accounts.
I don't want the cccs as they wanted to use my sons disability money, so was thinking on payplan, the distress is too much for me and i want this over, can i just change over.
Should i stick it out do you think or go with my feelings of payplan to get this over.
Thanks in advance

Hi a dmp is only going to work for you if you have money left over after essentials are paid, they look for around a £100 as the lowest figure, so if you have that ammount spare without hurting living expenses then try it , if you have ,why dont the people you are with set up something for you. if you decide to do it just tell you present helpers .

    Who told you this information?
I don't want the cccs as they wanted to use my sons disability money
It's a given understanding throughout the financial industry:
Any disability premiums, DLA, In Cap. Carers etc. that are awarded for assistance for illness and or disability are legally not allowed to be included as part of your income, and need not therefore be mentioned to anyone
If what you state is correct, this is the first I've witnessed about CCCS making such a statement

I had an appointment by phone with the ccs and the advisor told me on going through my income and expenditure that as i got the money on his behalf and because he was not capable of spending it then it passed to me and therefore would be included.
The present helpers refuse to consider a DMP as my income is only income support and carers allowance.
HSBC are threatening to sell my furniture off as they refuse the token £1 offer saying that my son should be willing to help.
The HSBC knew about the DLA as it was going through my account on his behalf, but with his NI number on it.

no all your income needs to be incuded to get a full picture to help you deal with your creditors, so all these help agancies would do the same . benefits dont count towards the likes of bankruptcy etc and are not taken into account,

what is your hsbc debt? hsbc would need a court order to get bailiffs round I think, have you sent them a financial statement, proving to them you're lack of income?
If its a low as you say , no court is going to make you pay more than you can afford even if its a quid a month.
speak to CABregarding laws on bailiffs so you know exactly what they can do. some companies threaten them , but in reality its a lot harder to use them today than it used to be.

The purpose of any DLA is that it's to be used on what it's paid for, and therefore, NEEDS NOT BE DECLARED on any I&E.

My helper did not declare it as he said what you have just said, however the bank know about it as it passed through my bank account. As he is incapable of managing his own money.

That's OK, but they cannot calculate it as part of your I&E ;)

Baloney, this is another reason why you MUST NEVER speak with these idiots on the phone.
