All - just a quick update. I took your advice and told my mum that if she was planning to say anything that wasn't complimentary I was more than happy for her to stay at home :T
Anyway – in the end I cooked lasagne with a salad and French bread and to finish I did chocolate babycakes (like the ones on the M&S ad where all the chocolate pours out of the middle.)
Anyway – thanks for all of your advice on this issueYou laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
I am planning on cooking lunch for Mother's Day tomorrow but have no idea what to actually cook. I don't really like roasts so that is out and I am feeding My mum, stepdad, Sister (18 & pregnant so no shellfish etc), sister 3 and brother 2.
Im basically looking for ideas for a main meal and dessert that will be suitable for all of us. Im a pretty decent cook but would prefer something that doesn't take hours in the kitchen.
Thanks in Advance x:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
What sort of food do they like, plain, spicy, english, foreign. I am sure there will be many ideas on here, but need a guideline.

They like pretty much any food - although nothing too spicy due to the two little one's eating it as well. I've asked my mum what she wants and she just said she doesn't mind which is completely unhelpful!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0

How about pitta bread, veggie sticks, sliced baguette, bread sticks, cheeses, cold meats and houmous.
