I'd like to buy Fairtrade eggs this year and conveniently have 3 relatives to buy for, so usually go straight to the supermarket to look for 3 for 2. But I've not been able to find Dubble or any other FT brands this year :(

    Has anyone seen any please?

Yes, my local Oxfam shop has both the Dubble and other Fairtrade Easter eggs.

Debehams are selling easter eggs and they are far from the cheapest, But if you use your gold card they are covered buy a 100 day price promise. From previous years I tend to remember the prices go down after Easter!!!!!!

I make our own eggs - fun, easy, scores high on the 'wow, you made a real effort' count and you can make the chocolate as thick as you like! (crucially important to a dedicated choc lover like me.)

I've had a quick nose on the net for 'Easter Egg mould' and there are loads on ebay of course and various other links. I've got a set of really ancient ones from the choc company scotblok, but don't know if they are still making them.

As a mum, I'll make some and keep them as a suprise for Easter day - little solid ones in egg cups and then a big one for after lunch or whatever (spot the strict eating rules in our house!) Then we might all make some more together later. Its real fun and a great memory maker. Add loads of silly decorations to standard tin foil and of course always buy fairtrade choc from the local co-op!!
  • thortons are doing 4 for a tenner, quality chocolate and with added bonus of a personal touch with having names iced on for free, actually looks like you went to a lot of effort

I take it the £13-£39  selection at Hotel Chocolat is not the kind of eggs your looking for in this thread? (very very very nice though!!!)

Just been past home and bargain and they had small cadburys easter eggs in the window - no price but that shop is always cheap I will check it out tomorrow unless someone on here already knows and can let me know.

This year we shall be giving my Mum and Dad a load of cornflake and rice krispie chocolate nests, complete with some mini eggs on top! So just 85p for the bag of mini eggs for those!

As for nieces and nephews, they are either such fussy eaters or rather tubby, that it'll be non-food presents this year (max. spend £1.50 each, which is v. acheivable in Tesco or our local factory shop!)

The only Easter Egg spend will be for my OH's family, who are so fussy about what kind of chocolate they like and wouldn't even entertain the thought of homemade food presents, so this thread is very useful so we know where to go! :T
