  • Had another amazon sale, going to lump my amazon and ebay sales together near the end of the month, they're slowly trickling in!
  • Hi All,
I'm soooo excited. I have only had my mortgage since February. Last week I arranged to increase my monthly payment and reduced the term of my mortgage by 5 years.
Now... thanks to some overtime, cheques from mutual points and greasypalm, and some sales on Ebay and Amazon, I have £500 to pay off my mortgage. Hopefully this is the first of many overpayments.
    I've joined the overpayment revolution!!
It's not how much you earn..... It's what you do with it.....
  • Welcome suzie!!! Hopefully the founder of the piggy aliasajo will be along sometime to post again, I think shes a bit busy with other things at the moment!
I wish I'd been in the know about mortgage overpayments when i first had mine, good luck to you and I hope you are mortgage free many years early!
  • Added another £10 to mine, went really well in the first week of June, tailed off a bit more now, hoping to rake in a bit more next week, need about another £400 for my goal!

I can't believe it's taken me this long to find this thread - have just joined pigsback and even though we should be mortgage free sometime next year, I'm now hoping to bring it forward. We are currently making the max op on the mortgage each month so the money will go in the B/soc to make the final payment sooner - I'm soooo excited! Now I'm thinking of names...... it's worse than naming the kids!!!

When I read this thread a while back I told my hubby about it and he said:

    'We want a mortgage Pig!!'

So I went on Ebay to find a cute one. I bought an old off-white coloured (was probably white in it's day :p ) Britannia Building Society Pig made of plastic (cost £2.00 :p ) and every week my hubby puts in his spare £1 coins....I think there is about £19 in there now...not a lot I know, but he is so proud when he pops in a quid and his little face glows with pride.....you see, he only takes a little cash for spends and still puts money in Morris the Mortgage Pig :T :T :T

I'm a member of Pigsback & I cannot find anywhere details of how to get a Pigsback Piggy. What do you need to buy/do to get one?
