Woolworths also have personalised pigs with names on the side, I bought a daisy and an archie for friends for xmas with an explanation that that's the name of the pigs (they didn't have my friends names') And Whsmith have sheep with money coins included, I imagine they'll be in the sale

I am astounded. We counted up the moneybox zoo and the total came to £170. Most of that was the £2 coins we saved via the £2 DFW club.

Can't believe that I can go to the bank tomorrow and pay in what will save me roughly £500 over the life of my mortgage.

What a fab idea this thread was. Keep going everyone and all the best for 2008.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

Now, why not make your own 'mortgage pig'? It's become so popular with the 'sealed pot' savers in DFW forum that I had to start a thread just for making papier mache banks! LOL

My mortgage pig is a wooden brick, it was easy to make too, and everything's recycled so hasn't cost anything :)

  • We have just finished our money pig. Please be gentle, I've got the dreaded lurgy that everyone around the country seems to have. He's got £1 in his belly so far.

happy116.gifGoing to update my signature and get rid of that awful number - I won £50 on the premium bonds and racked up an extra £50 in winnings whilst playing at cashbacking in greasypalm. Also have my 'quit smoking' money, which WILL be saved and put into my 'mortgage pig' (sealed wooden brick with handwritten notes, cash goes into the 'house' account) I think I may open a bottle of Chrissie pressie wine this evening to celebrate.

Hope everyone is doing well, will catch up with these threads tonight too.
    Happy New Year again! :D
