    Congratulations Candice.

I've been to the osteopath today as my spd has been getting worse and worse. I had similar problems in my first pregnancy and a couple of sessions really helped, but unfortunately the women who treated me moved away, so I've had to find someone new. The new chap says that pregnant women are very easy to treat, as our ligaments are so soft and bendy already! He did a 45 minute sessions of pretty firm massage, some manipulation of the hips, and to my surprise some acupuncture too, which I've never had done before. That was a weird feeling, as after the needles went in, I had a small electric charge down my leg, and then when he twisted the needles, a hot feeling down the same pathway. I definitely feel more comfortable and am moving more easily now, but it will be interesting to see whether things get better still, and if the effects last.

For those who are facing long waiting lists to see a physio, it might possibly be worth seeing whether there is anyone offering private osteopathy near you? The session today cost me £45 (but subsequent sessions would be cheaper) and this was in Central London, so I would guess rates in other parts of the country would be less?

Nicki - I see an osteopath once a month (£40 a session) and I agree that they are worth it. I see mine for jaw problems but she also sorts out any pregnancy pains for me when I go.

    Congrats Candice :D

I've been MIA for a couple of days as it's been so hot in Wales that I've even removed my kagool!!! (I guess you need to have seen Rhod Gilbert to get this) :D

Bump is doing fine, really jealous looking at all your bump pictures though they all seem so neat and perfect. I'm 34 and 2 and I'm still asking hubby every time I get dressed pregnant or fat! Doesn't help that I was on the large size to begin with but I can't help feeling jealous.

Started calling round today about childminder places from Jan and the 6 I called were full, so I'm panic is starting to kick in and I've not even had the bump yet.

Apart from that glad to hear everyone is OK - I have been lurking and Sami - How jealous was I when I saw your pirate pool, is it wrong I want one for me to play in :o

MM - Is it wrong that it took me 5 reads to work out what baby boiled was!!!! That's pregnancy brain for you!

Yeah I'm ok, not coping well with the heat at all and having a bit of a carp time in work - hey ho only 12 days to go :D

I have been laughing at all the ice-cream talk, normally I'm not a sweet type of gal but interestingly DH has taken it upon himself to indulge in 2-3 ice-creams / lollies a night with the excuse he doesn't want them going off - I bought them Friday !!!!!!!!!
