Evening all. New thread and far too many pages for me to catch up on right now so anyone able to give me an update? I read all the old one but can't face 11 more pages right now!
We are back from our weekend in Brum for the baby show. MIL was ill and unable to go wtih us so it was me, OH and my parents.
There was loads there and most of it not stuff I really wanted, and I was pretty disappointed with the freebies and discounts on offer TBH, but we did buy our travel system and some nappies!
We got the Silver Cross Sleepover in vintage, with a car seat as well, for £530 (free car seat basically) http://www.prams-pushchairs.co.uk/silver-cross-sleepover-vintage-linear-chassis-ventura-p-441.html?currency=GBP and a mixture of nappies - 15 TotsBots and 5 Lollipop bamboo ones for night-time - plus a bucket with fleece wipes, flushable liners, some washing sanitising stuff, a mesh washing bag, an out-and-about bag for dirty nappies, for £243. I still want to do EC but it's worth having some nappies too and I can always sell them on.
And best of all ... my parents bought them!!! Yay! lovely, lovely parents!
They are on order so have to wait for them to arrive.
Oh and I bought a CuddleDry towel as seen on Dragon's Den which is sooo cute.
We are now trying top find the right co-sleep crib. We like the Cosatto Close to Me but can;t see how it attaches to the main bed and as we have a pine bed whose base sticks out further than the mattress a bit, we need to know. I have emailed Cosatto cos I can;t find a thing online.
So apart from the sling and sheepskin those are the main things and I can start buying the smaller stuff online from boots or wherever.
I dont; have any other news but I'm very excited about my purchases:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Skintchick that pushchairs beautiful. I've been sat lusting over the piccie from your link, my fiances parents have offered to pay for the buggy or a cot but I dont think they had that sort of figure in mind :rotfl:I could always top it up I suppose? My parents live in France and have been and bought me a bright orange buggy yesterday for when we go there, it folds up into a tiny backpack for festivals too.Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0

For anyone else interested. It's made of bamboo which is why it's expensive but it's super-absorbant and what the heck, I wanted it! :rotfl:
boogellyboo - it's kind of a bargain because it is also a crib/cot/moses basket type thing on the wooden stand that comes with it, plus the pushchair is parent- or outward-facing and not all have both options.
We are lucky that even if my parents hadn;t bought it, we could afford it anyway so we just looked for the pram we loved and that was it.
OH is not so keen on the colour - he wanted black - but I like the paler one and I don't like black things so I've got my own way!:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Skinty, you have my pram... (although I would of gone for the classic chassis) I love the vintage colourway too... Although it will probably be filthy after a couple of years...
Now that bath is NOT mse... Gorgeous though... lolA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

My OH keeps looking at the darker buggies whereas the one's I like are all the paler caramel/butterscotch colours. This baby was a complete surprise, we had ahem, shall we say several methods of protection in place that let us down on a grand scale :rolleyes: so we have nil funds saved up but are getting better and luckily a couple of good friends have recently had babies and keep offering us things which is great.Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0
