I just took my kids to the local adventure playground for the first time, as there is a possibility that my DD may get some supported playtime there during the summer holidays to give me a break, as she has severe learning difficulties. They had a sandpit with a hose which the children had used to make a lake, which she promptly sat down in, soaking her pants and skirt, which she then stripped off as she can't bear wet clothing next to her skin. I didn't have a change of clothes for her, but managed to borrow a pair of boys pants (for 3-4 year old) from another mum (DD is a tall 8) and then had to walk her home through a predominantly islamic area of London wearing just a pair of boys pants and a tshirt!

10 minute walk, made longer by waddling like a duck and extreme embarrassment :o:o

aaawww bless. When i was little i stayed alot with my nan in pontypridd (at the start of the welsh valleys) they lived on one of the old roads to cardiff and often people would stop even in the 70's and 80's and she and all the neighbours would be out assisting with whatever problem had occured - sick child, ill person - whatever. There was never anything that couldnt be fixed with some water, cloths and towels and a cup of tea. Suppose its not something that could be done safely now.

Hi JHA, glad your OH is looking after you! It's nice to be waited on now and then, isn't it? Just to say I don't think it necessarily follows that you will find a doppler heartbeat once you have seen it on a scan. I had a MW apt the same week as my early scan (8 weeks) and she couldn't find a heartbeat with her doppler (which she said was totally normal) but the sonographer found it straight away on the scan (external scan). I first heard the HB on a doppler at 13 week apt, which I think is pretty standard, so I guess not that far off for you.

Thanks got-it-spend-it, i was thinking that too but it will keep me busy whilst i am stuck in bed:rotfl:probably end up listning to my tummy grumbling with it or something:rotfl:
