Thanks guys- I think I am just having a bad couple of weeks- baby must be having a growth spurt!

The thing is I was expecting to feel less wiped out once 12 weeks was over. I'm 17 weeks now and feel worse than ever.

I can't wait for the nesting instinct to kick in- I just wanna start getting properly ready for my little baby.

I remember an email at 16 weeks saying growth spurt for next 3 weeks!!

Yes, the details are in Sami's signature. And you need to PM her to let her know your real name so she can allow you to join the group.

Don't you ladies have a telly in the bedroom, where are you gonna go for some peace to breastfeed? Get one in there now. :D

I have a TV in the bedroom, but like watching The Apprentice with DH! We are watching the football and recording it and then watching it straight after. If football goes to ET and penalties, then we will need to avoid who got sacked as I am not staying up that late! I am sooo tired. I was going to ensure I didn't look on here in case anyone posts who was sacked, but sounds like you are all recording it anyway!! ha ha.

I thought Id be able to watch apprentice as OH as got his brother round to watch football but just before kick off he announced they were watching it in my room! We have 2 living rooms, his where the wii is, his computer and big tv and stuff and the only place he's allowed to smoke in the house (and where I rarely go in) and mine where its nice and airy, my big tv and my little netbook but I forgot he only gets tv over the net in there so didnt want the delay watching it. Had to make him promise we can watch apprentice on i-player tomorrow!

Must be hard to pick a person for such a special thing. Was there one that you felt a particular connection with, like when you meet someone that you know will be a friend.

I really like two of them!

The first one has four children of her own and has had two hospital births and two home births. She has doulaed for four births, all of them in hospital and including a C-section and a ventouse birth, and an induction. She has done BF training and loads of courses inclduing one with Michel Odent, and is also CRB checked as her job before this which she still does some of is as a childminder. She also has public liability insurance. She charges £200 with no expenses for the 2 pre-birth visits, the birth, and one visit afterwards.

Doula 2 is actually two people - they work as a team and I'm not sure which one I'd get. They have each had one child, both home births, and have each doulaed four births, all but one in hospital. One of them is a BF mentor at the local hospital. They don;t seem to have done any other training as they didn;t mention any, and are not CRB checked. Don;t know about insurance as forgot to ask. They charge £300 for the same vists as doula 1, but with 40p per mile expenses which will adda round £50 onto the cost.

My gut was always for doula 1, but I like the other two as well, although I am still being drawn to doula 1 cos of all the courses she has done and the fact that she trained with Michel Odent.

I did see two other doulas but one I didn;t gel with and the other I've kind of forgotten! She was nice but not memorable so I guess we didn;t have a connection.

    Any thoughts people?

They live a similar distance from me in opposite directions.

Glam, did you find out if you can do it part-time?

    Thanks everyone

I will now be looking after data quality for 14 sites so making sure that they are all complying to data protection, have up to date records, are paperlight etc. I will be based at a practice whcih is 4 miles closer to home.

Because I'll just be managing myself and my workload, I said 'This would suit me after my Mat Leave in case I want to work flexibly or go part-time' and they agreed!

Fitzio - we are watching footy and recording Apprentice, will watch straight after if no extra time if not will watch tomorrow. Is the quality playing up on yours?

    Man Utd are playing awful!!

I banned TV from the bedroom but have agreed if OH wants one he can get one to go on the wall so we don't have to have bulky TV stand like we've got now!!
