They have made me so many promises over the last 18 months
2 promotions which they've then given to someone else
Head of a new department which they never even set up
Was told thet by Dec 08 I wouldn't be doing the same job - but I am.
I am always helping out my manager who then goes and passes the work off as her own and never gives me any credit for anything!
I've told a few people I might not go back after Mat Leave and I have even just applied for another job in the hope they'll take me on next year (the term pishing in the wind comes to mind but hey!).
They might have got wind of it and it will be their ploy to get me to return - this time I will say 'With all due respect, I have heard all this before. Could you please give me something in writing to state that this is the role I will be returning to after Mat Leave?'
Will take it from there :rolleyes:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Lots to catch up on today!
Congratulations Mrs T, and thanks for the birth story. As others have said, breastfeeding shouldn't hurt at all, so if it is hurting, try to nobble your community midwife for some help next time she's in. With my two for the first few days until they got the hang of how to latch painlessly, I used to hold my boob in one hand and tease their nose and top lip with the nipple. This would make them open their mouths wide, when I'd put the whole nip into their mouth. This may not be recommended practice but it worked for us!
Mrs M - you sound like you're going through the mill. Please don't change the locks though as someone suggested, as the last thing you need at the moment is legal problems on top of everything else! Also if you were rushed into hospital and other family couldn't help for whatever reason with the kids, he couldn't even pick them up from school and take them home for you until someone else turned up to help look after them. I wondered whether he's tried antabuse in the past? This is a drug which alcoholics take daily, and if they then drink even a small amount, it will make them violently ill, and can even be fatal. If his doctor would prescribe it and he would agree to the regime, then he could come and see you in hospital daily and take the meds in front of you. That would be more reliable than him turning up once a day for you to sniff his breath! This isn't medical advice btw, as only a doctor could decide whether its suitable for him, but it is a recognised strategy to help alcoholics recover. We had some experience of it in my family many years ago, and it did work when the person in question was prepared to take it. On the days he wanted a bender though, he just didn't take the drug . If you were monitoring your OH though, that problem wouldn't arise.0 -
I DO NOT BELIEVE IT (in a pitch perfect Victor Meldrew voice)
I have finally finished getting my mothercare order together and the bl00dy pushchair chassis has gone out of stock. That was the whole point in placing the damn order:mad:
Can't seem to order it online now which means that I have missed out on the 20% discount. grrrrrr
Harley & Helen - can you not pre-order the items if they are out of stock, ensuring that they still give you the discount? If not, that's a shame. I suppose there will be another sale along soon though!0 -

I love flawless, the dance group that got through last night were amazing too but it'd be good if both got through so it's a better competition at the final.Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0
