Tia - We borrowed that beanstalk chair off a friend to have at my mums and I think you are deff best off with the Ikea one!
We use the Ikea ones in the Ikea cafe no probs at all and it is much more hard wearing than the Argos one which will be grubby/ripped quite quickly if used often like it prob would be in a cafe
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

i agree with sami the cheaper one will be better and easier to clean, the other one has fabric reigns and would be a nightmare to clean!

I think any high chair where you can remove the tray is better than ones where you can't... You could always get a couple of the inflatable inserts for people who might want to use it with smaller toddlers, but think the Ikea one would definitely be better... Everything is disinfectable on it...

I just found the tray for the ikea one for £4, so I think that they would be fine with the tray. Plus, at £14 it's a nice price :D Easy to clean too, hate grubby high chairs in cafe's. Must call it a sandwich bar, got told off for saying cafe. :o

Been looking through toys too... we have 4 play mats and a ball pit. Ball pits are good for play areas. A box of wooden toys, some bricks etc. Good start to a play area me thinks. Would it be too far sticking a crib in there so I can leave the lil lady there when I go shopping? :rotfl:

MM, I'd wait till baby is a few months old, my ma and pa are in there 6 days a week from 7am till 4pm and often on a sunday for cleaning! Although one starts at 7am and goes at 12pm (my dad cos he can't handle the busy lunch spell, it's the breakfast roll and lunch trade that we cater too) and my mum starts at 10am and stays till 4pm. Shop is open 8am-3pm. If my bro is off (he is a chef at one of the hotels), he goes down in place of one of them, then there is a staff member in from 11-2. We work em like dogs we do  :rotfl:

I refuse to work in it, told them that when we put in our cash. Hate the ctering trade. Don't mind waitressing but hate making sandwiches and stuff. Not that I will be waitressing you see.... I'm just there for them to phone and say they have run out of bacon.

Tia, I'd rethink the balls... Unless you want to be picking them up constantly... Some people aren't so quick to tell their children not to throw things... I'd stick with things that can be wiped down with a dettol wipe and nothing paper or sticker wise that can be ripped off and look scabby...

You know, one thing that was a bit of a blessing, I missed DS2's first 3 days when he was very poorly. Elle must be in hell right now, but he's not ready for wings that little one, we won't let him.

I really loved catering, was a silver service waitress for many years then went into management before leaving to go to the bank when I had Jasmine as the shift work was too much.
Yeah, dont think I would do it too soon, want to enjoy having time with baby and Jasmine as I went back to work far too quickly after I had her.

True enough! On holiday the boys and 2 other boys emptied the ball pit in the indoor play area, by throwing them into the badminton court!!!! Mortified was an understatement!
