After working in school it seemed to be that boys names were shortened more often than girls so I like simple but strong boys names.

No, I just read it on your list. I said no E's to OH. All my kids have different letters at the beginning of their names and I already have Erin. Silly I know. :o

There are so many girls names that I like that I am confident we will agree on something. Boys names we are finding much harder. We don't agree on anything. OH is struggling to find any boys names he likes, and won't go with anything remotely standard (he "hates" the top 100 names etc)!. I however, don't want my boy to be bullied for having an unusual/poncy name!

We have discussed boys much more than girls, so I think it will be a shock if it turns out to be a girl!!!
Having a Christopher I was quite shocked that we haven't yet come across another one his age and non of my friends know of any either! When the England & Wales official stats came out Christopher was something like #92 for his birth year

I went out with a Ted (he was an Edward though)- very hunky and we're still friends now. His wife's having a baby in June actually. Not that that makes any difference to you, just thought I would share.

We're having a real headache with boys names, just can't seem to think of anything! Sorted on the middle name tho so halfway there! OH is worried the poor baby will be nameless for a fortnight like DD was lol
