Jonny Logan :D Yep. And Dana.... and Rock and Roll kids....Niamh Kavanagh.....and the woman who sang The Voice....it started a whole craze of irish sounding songs the next year.

We sent Gina G that year with 'Oo Ah Just a Little Bit ' :rotfl:

and this would have no chance of winning now against the pretty boys and skimpily dressed 20 year girls prancing around now - but it did - for Ireland!

  • Afternoon all :j Paps back :j Been avoiding chat because I have been in such a bad mood  Anyways new day today... and I bagged 13hours overtime :T I am home early and I downloaded some new music :shhh: (I cant really afford it). However I smell like a chip shop... all I have done all day is batter and cook fish  Ohh I so could have eaten it too :rotfl:

Bb enjoy the EVC, I dont really bother that much now. When we were young we loved it but I could take or leave it now. However they have bumped Robin Hood

I wouldn't call myself a fanatic in comparison to some. There is a HUGE thread on Digital Spy which thousands and thousands of replies and goes on all year. They study the heats for each country, then compare entries to old ones and then the run up to the semis and the final tonight. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes (ie Spain are in the doo doo because they suddenly decided not to broadcast the semi they were voting in), it's just a huge thing.

The knowledge of some of the real experts/fanatics/ insert suitable word here is amazing.
