I always wanted a wi until I went on one last weekend and it said I was obese. It's right but it didn't have to be so rude.

Mine expanded and sort of went 'whomph' as I stood on it.

his portrait is propped up at my ex's place. I haven't had time to get it framed yet, so I thought he could have it on long loan until I have it framed and then I'll take it back.

Well, they agreed the quote for the ceiling/decorating etc work, which was fine. His neighbour got the job ;) The agreed quote was about £3k of work - but there was a lot of damage :( There's still the bathroom ceiling to re-paint and then the living room ceiling to replace and the room to strip and re-decorate.

The carpet was classed as buildings and it was just a case of choosing at Allied up to a set amount (he could have up to £14 per sq/m plus underlay) and they came and did that. He has had an offer for all the damaged vinyl under the bed (over 2 grand - I kid you not!), £80 for the food that thawed when I turned off the power (oops) and they wrote this week with the list of everything taken by the reclaim people asking for him to price it up (lazy boogers!) He asked if I could help so I did. I did Argos prices for big stuff (bed/laptop/video camera) and NEXT for the clothing/towels bedding.

Contents wise, including the food (they've offered £80) and vinyl (apparently some really rare New Wave stuff in it all) he will get around £4,500k. The only thing he definitely has to replace is the bed/mattress/bedding (for, say £500) but even then he's using a single bed at the moment. He would be very stupid not to use the remaining money to put a chunk in his debt, particularly as there is a high possibility of him losing his job by the end of this term. His school has merged and 40 posts are going. However, knowing him as I do, I expect some silly frittering to happen  but it's nothing to do with me - I can only advise and pass on what I've learnt on here.

You only get so many rolls of the dice and whilst he is waiting for over £2k of bank charges back when it re-starts, this is possibly his last chance to majorly clear some of his 12k of CC debt.

He is a lovely guy and people often ask why we split. The main reason was that he is was drinking a hell of a lot (a bit less now I think) and it got too 'heavy'. There's no way I could now be with him though on the money side of it, I spent far too many years worrying about money, I couldn't be back with someone like that again :(

We've got a wii fit and like everything else fitness-ey in this house it got used at first now it never gets touched. My trouble is I get bored too easily and there isn't enough variety on there for me to keep me interested.

Ahh hunny - are you sure you're not dating my ex? Were you going out with him, or with friends? If it's friends, slap your brightest lipstick on and force yourself out - you will feel so much better for taking control. :grouphug:

Would you credit it, CAG (not SDG...he has been dumped) has just contacted me to see if I want to go over to his place tonight! !!!!!!?? :rotfl:

    I politely declined!
