Didn't make the summer pud, was distracted by the need to snuggle DGD.

My name is Beth and I am a Charlotte-aholic.
Bet CANDYGIRL is also, because of the lack of her posts on here.
KAZZAW, Happy Birthday to your DGD's first. ehhmm, what is INGT?
Yes I'm afraid any spare time that I have is spent on DGD!!
ITNG is "In the Night Garden", a toddlers programme with Upsy Daisy & Iggle Piggle. You must pay more attention! Don't want poor Charlotte to be ashamed of Grandma as she has no toddler street cred! lol x x x
Right I'm off to knock 'em dead with my poor little Buttercup! HMS Pinafore is ready to set sail for the final time tonight!

Hi everyone
Well, work went quickly and was actually quite a good day. Have since walked to the shops, bought mushrooms for dinner and found some half-price puppodums, done an hour's weeding, and 2 lots of washing. Also our corn snake is now eating again after refusing to eat for 2 months, so not a bad day.
Aussie - hope you & OH are doing ok
Ruby - glad to hear you are feeling a bit better today
Jackie, Pen Pin & SunnyGirl - hope you all feel better soon
Diva - thanks for the recipes - will definitely give them a try
Have a good evening

:hello:Evening
Am absolutely shattered have been trawling round the shops all day looking for a new suit for OH - he really is worse to shop with than both my DD's put together. Started out at 9.00 at one side of the Pennines and ended up all afternoon at the Trafford Centre at the other side. Finally got one and I daren't even mention that it is very similar to the one he wanted a change from!!!! Anyway I think we are all sorted for the wedding at last!:T
Meanmarie it is in Westport in Mayo, my sister lives there and all of the rest of my Irish side either live in Mayo or Sligo. We are flying into Knock but usually drive from Dublin to Mayo, would we pass near you if we did????
Will read back on thread in a minute or two, but to anyone who is feeling the need (((((Hugs))))
WS my dog was really scared with the storm which I was surprised about as she is quite deaf now as she is so old.
SunnyGirl hope your DF continues to do well
Diva hope you are well:wave:
Enjoy your evening all

I am NOT in favour of a little one being sat in front of Jeremy Kyle, but I think that Baby TV is wonderful, it is aimed at stimulating the little ones. An adult will find it slow torture, but it is excellent and one of the reasons why little bear knows all his colours. It does all the right things about repetition, clear structure, simple language, songs etc. .
Yikes!! TV for babies??? What happened to parents stimulating their babies and teaching them colours.
NicLou... Westport is lovely.
Just finished tea. HM breaded haddock and oven chips for them and liver and bacon for me.
Spent a fair bit of time in the garden but managed to get to the plant sale too late to get anything (MIL was late arriving:rolleyes:)
Off to look at recipe books as I fancy doing some proper cooking tommorrow.
Going to walk doggie in a bit and if I can't find anything on the telly I'll retire to the kitchen sofa with my wine and Gardener's World on iplayer. Who says I don't know how to live it up?

I totally agree! Luckily my DGD has no interest in the TV but she has the toys from the programme as people gave them her for Christmas etc. She has been born into a family of book nutters and likes nothing better than sitting on someone's knee turning pages and she loves music!
WS I agree about the ITNG writers being on illegal substances!! It's definitely worse than Teletubbies and that's saying something! Bring back Play School and Watch with Mother!!
