Yeah but if you changed ANY details on the online application they need you to verify that by providing your signature.

I changed nothing apart from what was required

Honest, my head hurts thinking about the stupidity of the nw account opening process.

The interest rate isn't that great anyway. I was only going for it as the Savings Direct account is now absolutely rubbish, and I occasionally have a few quid in my current account that could go into a savings account for a short period.

It has made me realise I'm better off not even attempting to "save" with NatWest.
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

So it takes 7 days, so it's a bit of a pain. Not exactly worthy of a moaning thread is it? If you don't like it stop moaning on here and open another account. I opened one a few months ago because I wanted another £50K protection... I went through the process and now have the account. Lovely!!

Kavanne.with regard to "changing your personal details",they told me this to.speaking to another advisor at nat west, this lady gave me another story,"it will take a few days to appear".
I tried a few times to open a E isa and I did not alter any details.
but I still received the paperwork.I believe it was just a stalling tactic cause
they were dropping the rate and hoped nobody would notice.
OR PERHAPS I`M BEING CYNICAL A BANK WOULD NEVER DO SUCH A THING???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

benny, complain. they may be able to apply the old rate if you say you feel you were messed around.

Took me nigh on 10 weeks to open my Nat West E saver, funny thing was a day after telling them I was no longer interested calling them a few choice words, I got a letter saying it had been opened..
