anyone know if it's any good ?

might get it for my mum as a mother's day gift :)
  • Does anyone know if this does the same as the Reebok stepper as in the twist motion to work in and outer thighs?

It doesn't do any twisting motion, just a regular stepper but with a computer counter, timer etc.

    It's quite good though.

Cheers for that me old chinas. Good spot. Just bought one.
  • Funny I was gonna look for one of these at the boot sale. No doubt hubby will say I've wasted my money and "remember the roller skates" but hey they sell for more than this on Ebay so he can go get stuffed!

Is "stepping" with this machine similar to "walking"? If so I just saved 19.99.

  • I bought one of these and it's actually pretty good.

It does take a bit of work to get the steps moving at first (they strart off quite stiff) but once you've got going and warmed the machine up a bit it's really good and it feels like you're getting a good workout. The machine is practically silent and you can adjust the size of the step to make the steps bigger or smaller.

As usual the instruction book is a load of rubbish but just start out doing what you feel comfortable and work your way up to a longer workout. I started out doing a 10 minute workout a few weeks ago and last night I did a 50 minute workout with no problems.

I agree the steps are stiff at first, I had both feet on each step just to get them going. Now though it seems really easy to do 10-15 minutes... great while watching Tv as it's so quite no-one gets disturbed.

thanks OP...I ordered one of these yesterday. I used to have one a few years ago but it was so squeaky that I couldnt stand the noise. This one sounds ideal for turning my blancmange into buns of steel LOL
