HI, we are looking at getting a dongle for our daughter, she has a laptop in her room, but the internet in the house wont work on it,her room must be out of reach of the range of the hub,so we thought of getting a dongle so she can also take her laptop to grandmas when she goes to visit.
We want to know whats the best one/deal?
She has a mobile on orange contract, and me and oh have O2 contracts, would either of them do a good deal?
Is it best to get a pay as u go one? Only thing with them is, do you only get a certain amount of time to use the credit up?
I hope I'm making sense, I am not very technical!!
Any advice welcome tho

seen some shops dseeling PAYG ones for £35 (inc £10 credit) - they were on market originally for around !00, unless you committed to a stupidly long contractt
no idea which network is best though..Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -
1) Move the hub, its free
2) get a dongle that works at her grans on pay as you go & only give it to her when she stays there. Not Again0 -
Agreed. Best option is to move the hub/router to be in reach.
Failing that, Three have the best 3g coverage and are currently giving away a broadband dongle for PAYG (just 4.95 postage). Seach the grab it now forum.
1gb is £10 or £15 for 3gb, but these do expire after 1 month.
Vodafone do a payg deal which is £40 (£30 with cashback thro topcashback or quidco) which includes a broadband dongle + £15 credit. £15 will buy 1gb of allowance, but the good thing here is that it doesn't expire until you use up all 1gb whether that takes 1 day or 1 year!0
