hi there, i have the choice of either oil or electric boiler to be installed ,i have just put all my rads in and pipe work but now its crunch time !!!
there is no gas in the village
i know i can pay by direct debit for both for the running costs but would i be saving by going oil with the varying oil prices at the moment

At present prices, especially with a new boiler, oil will cost about one third of the running costs of electric CH.
There is no more expensive form of heating than electric.0 -
don't forget to consider air/ground source heat pumps before making your decision!0

I normally include that proviso, but he has said that the radiators have been installed and a Heat pump system will ideally require bigger radiators.0 -
have you considered a windmill or solar panels, and beware oil prices are very vollatile!0
