You get working tax if you work 16 hours and have a child, then you are eligible for working tax credit working 16 hours. I dont have school age children so am not eligible for the 16 hour rate for WTC BUT with DLA I AM eligible so I can claim WTC with working under 30 hours.
If I didnt get DLA I'd have to work 30 hours in order to get WTC as I dont have a school age child but I'm not capable of working 30 hours a week, I struggle with what I do do but it does me more good to get out the house than it does to stay in.0 -
It's not only the reduced number of qualifying hours, there's also a disability element to the working tax credit which is paid if you have a disability which puts at a disadvantage in getting a job. More HEREEat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

Yes - and this is why I am panicking. I simply cannot manage without the WTC with the disability element. My divorce settlement was done taking all those figures into account. Court settlements done and maintenance worked out and agreed - every penny accounted for each month. I cannot manage and even writing this out is making me feel panicky.0
