Hi
I want to upgrade my Sky+ hard drive as currently it is constantly jumping and fast forward is rubbish to say the least.
I understand that i need to provide the model of my box, which i will do later but can anyone suggest the following
Which Hard Drive is should go for?
As i have a Mac is there software that i can get so i can do a smooth transmission?
Are there any side effects?
Is it possible just to change without doing anything to the existing drive?
Thank you for your help

Hard drive any will do but a AV is better, but more money. Go for a 5400rpm to keep the noise down and a Samsung Spinright have always fared well.
Mac - Depends, see later..
Side effect, opening the box wrecks the warranty, that all really. Theres an outside chance te box may die if you pull too much power to the HDD but it's so small its not that big a deal.
The Mac depends bit is really as it depends if you want to keep existng programs. If you don't you just need to swap the drive and do a full reset. If you want to keep the programs you have it's harder. I f your drives toasted anyway swapping the drives can be done in 20 mins tops and maybe a hour for the box to do a reset (which means reformat and setup the drive)

hi , I Have 5 tv,s, a set top box for each, however when weather is bad, as it is today, I lose signal to 2 tv,s, especially bbc on digibox only, terestrial signal is ok. I thought the digital signal was supposed to be superior, I dread to think what will happen when switchover comes. All boxesare different.I also use a 4 way booster to each tv.but useonly 1 tv at a time.Any tech advice would be appreciated0
