Free McDonalds for life!!!??? Bizarre Ebay BIN

  • Out of curiosity I emailed McDonalds about the cards and they phoned me back today.

They confirmed that the Gold cards have been invalid for the last couple of years and no restuarant should accept them.

They have been replaced by the Platinum card which has the individuals name on it and are very very exclusive. (Pretty much the England World Cup team and thats about it)

She did say that McDonalds were aware of gold cards being available on eBay (I did not bring up the subject) and that all restuarants were going to be sent a memo reminding them to refuse the cards when presented.

Yes you "save a minimum of £265.20". That involves eating two McDonalds breakfasts every day!
I think I'll save a bit more and stick to my Ready Brek.
    Can I help?
  • If anyone wants to know the mystery shopping company that does McDonalds where you do get the meal for free PM me and I'll give you the web address. I've also got the web address of the ms company who does KFC too. The odd fast food is ok, but couldn't manage it daily!!!

There are three gold cards for sale at the mo.
Given that mcd's are not going to accept them, is there anything that can be done to report the auctions to ebay to get them pulled? One is for £105
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

Yes, you can report it to ebay through contact customer suport link found in the site map.

I finally got up the courage to use my gold card. Handed it to the girl behind the counter and asked it they accept these. I was ready to own up I got it on Ebay. But she glanced at it, said what would I like and soon I was walking out with my free meal. Excellent result. I hope they do not ban these. I need to use it two more times to get my tenner's worth. And then to get the free meals.

    Mistake No 1!!!

First rule of a blag, be confident, don't "ask" if they accept them, just hand it over as if you use it all the time. That way they are more likely to assume they can accept them, rather than if you ask them and they are more likely to say "wait there a minute, i'll just go an check with my manager"
