8 weeks left on contract but broken phone

My 18 month contract with o2 is not due for renewal until 8 weeks time however as from today my phone is broken! Anyone else been in this situation and whats the best way to get around it ? will o2 be any help as i have been with them over 8 years!!!!!

o2 might offer you a returned phone if you pay for it (discounted price but still not cheap).

Your best bet to see if you can do an upgrade with them.

Alternatively - cheap £10 phone from the high street for the next 4 weeks.

Although arent you eligible for upgrade already, I thought 18 month contracts, you could upgrade around 15th month but not sure - never had 18 month contract myself.

Well it says on my account upgrade only in the last month of your contract which is 8 weeks away of a 18 month contract!

Just get a cheap £10 phone, otherwise you won't be able to get a retentions deals.

Thats a shame but just to see if thats true you can try this https://upgrades.o2.co.uk/index.htm#getMPN if you haven't already. Not saying upgrade NOW, but you can at least tell if you are eligible or not for definite.
