OHs van was fixed today. It was £380 in total including VAT so that wasnt too bad and he took the day off and chopped down the rest of the second tree in the garden. (He will work Saturday to make up for it). I am feeling quite excited about paying off the debt instead of using the money to work on the house strangely enough because unbelievably we have never been able to manage it before as there has always been something major to pay for and before that we were poor. (We are still poor but only because of the debt). In fact itsmostly the thought of having no debt that is exciting but thats a long way off yet. Today I feel like I've achieved something because I prepared his accounts ready to take to the Accountant and I found loads of receipts for tools and car expenses so hopefully we will avoid a massive tax bill like we had this year. I'm about to read your thread, thats why I havent commented on it but I wish you luck with what you wish to achieve.southernscouser wrote:And hello to you too Tes.

Oh so this is where I come to find out about car mats? :rotfl:southernscouser wrote:To be honest it doesn't need much to get going with matched betting.
I was advised to deposit £50 (though I think £100-150 is better) to start with in Betfair
Oops that was me
You're right but then you've started at a faster pace than most people as the grand profits total will no doubt show tonight! I'd generally say that if people are doing matched betting to pay debts, it's best to start more slowly than someone who has no debts and is doing it to save up for a holiday or car or whatever - only because it isn't the easiest thing in the world to get the hang of, you can make mistakes when you're still learning, and obviously the last thing you want if you're in debt is to end up worse off.
Anyway will look forward to you showing off the first 5 days' total later on today

We've got another 15 minutes to wait Kath. I'll just have a nice sit down and a cuppa tea over here while he's adding up his millions
