How do I get to speak to a human being at 02?

I have just put my husband on an 02 contract.

We need to cancel the insurance that came with the contract (first month free; £5.99 thereafter but can be cancelled).

He has rung 0870 241 0202 but said that the service is automated and he wasn't given the option to speak to anyone.

Can anyone help please?
