another arm up in the air for volunteering most unsociable OH ever :rolleyes:

During our 'conversation' on Monday I said 'your friends must think you are either single, or that I am incredibly stupid' in relation to him being out with them every time rather than me.

I've decided to go out on Sunday - one of my friends is leaving the area and a surprise night out at a pub has been arranged by someone she has known for years. I've had an invite and I've been very brave and said 'yes'. I won't know anyone else there apart from my friend and her husband.....in fact, I don't know how she got my email address!!!!

I guess I'll have to either drive and not drink or get a taxi as I expect OH will be at the club with his 'friends' after the football, I might try for a lift though and see what he says. Whenever I go out without him (rare occasions that they are) he always gets a bit twitchy and starts saying 'do you want a lift? where are you going'........the last time he did that I was already in a taxi when he phoned and was vague about where I was going.......he hated it

Okay peeps so I know I see things in very black and white but I have some honest questions regarding OHs...

Now I realise that you'll have separate friends and interests which is fine, but surely being part of a couple is doing some stuff together??

If they dont like it then they arent really bringing much to the couple equation and surely they need sitting down with the plain facts 'if you dont make an effort to come out with me as a couple more often then its likely I'll find someone who will' not a threat just the obvious.

And also why dont you invite yourself along to their nights out too

Well Becky...It tends to start off like that when its all nice, new and exciting. Once you have kids, been married a while sometimes you can't be arsed I guess. It is annoying and I have thought on more than one occasion how it would be nice to have an OH who is sociable, like to go out but then I guess everyone has their downsides!
