Yep, on the same Stockland Hill transmitter as Exeter.

Sounds as if we can't get those 3 channels. Not an issue my end. Don't watch Dave (and have Dave ja vu, even if needed), don't watch Sky News and do watch Sky Sports News, but can watch that on SKY downstairs.

    Howdy neighbours!

I can't really help, but I can tell you what I get.

I live close to the St Thomas relay transmitter which has only just gone digital.

But I'm high up and use Stockland Hill direct, I have a fairly basic digi box, with an old loft aerial, but receive all the channels you appear to be missing. All 100% strength.

My new box doesn't say how many channels, but my now useless Nokia used to pull in around 80 (tv + radio), and that's not counting any of the text channels, which the old software couldn't handle.

Just checked and itv 4 seems fine.
Don't forget they say to do a full retune, same as initial setup.
    Move along, nothing to see.

Simon - I can get all the channels it says, apart from Dave, Sky Sports News, Sky News.

Try a manual search on channels 23-30.

Spud - I found out my problem. Whenever anyone turns on anything electrical, it causes freeview to tune out for 2 seconds and then come back. :o

Central heatings not on now, but used to get interference when the boiler kicked in, similar to what you get when there's lightning around.

If the interference generated by other electrical appliances is being picked up directly by your indoor aerial, there's not much you can do about it apart from get a proper external aerial. If on the other hand the interference is being picked up directly off the mains circuit, you may be able to cure it by removing the plug from your freeview box and replacing it with one of those filtered mains plugs they sell for computers.

There is no such thing as a " Digital Aerial "

Whilst as a statement that is true, there are aerials that are designed to be more receptive to the broader spectrum of frequencies that the Freeview muxes use. If you live in a marginal signal area and your old TV aerial you had in the analogue days just isn't cutting it, one of these new aerials may make all the difference.

I'm fortunate, I can see the Crystal Palace mast from my roof, so I can almost pick up freeview on a piece of wet string here. :D
