How come yours does it so quickly? Mine takes more like a fortnight! Isn't the official version supposed to be about 7 working days?

My transfers usually take between 5 and 7 working days as well.

Don't forget that when accepting paypal you are required to send goods in a timely manner, so you can't afford to wait for funds to clear to a bank. The buyer can start a chargeback for non receipt as early as day 7. so be careful.

Personally I would say that the phone has to be paid for by bank transfer or in cash if they have no feedback and ask if they agree to the terms. If they don't reply or say no then cancel the bid.

Another thing to watch out for is people who put high bids in but have no feedback. Sometimes they can be working with the person being outbid. The idea is to make the auction seem unattractive to others and then retract the bid close to the end of the auction or refuse to pay - hoping that the person who was outbid gets the item under market value.

With newbies I always ask them to contace me before bidding and ask for a contact landline number. I then actually do call them to verify they are real.

Thats what i would do, get more details from them and be clear of what you will accept and if you still feel them are not genuine then cancel there bids.

I have sold a few phones and you do get the typical emails that they want it shipped to nigeria or imediate shipping for mothers birthdays blah blah.
