Money not showing up

I have transferred some money to an account which was already set up as a payee. Money has left my HSBC account but it has not shown up on the other. It is one of those accounts where it is used for more than one person. I mean that the account is where all the savers money is kept. What do I do? Are there any charges involved?
I sent the money on the 6th.

How long does the recipient advise it will take to clear through to your account?
Where did it go?What would William Shatner do?0 -
It has been shown as sent. It went to the account that it went to last time.
I was informed it should have been processed by Monday.0 -
Was it to HMRC? I have an HSBC acct and they 'dot' out sortcode and acct number for HMRC so you can't see what numbers they are. I understand the bank details have changed for HMRC?
If it was them and you used the payee that was already set up, I don't know what would happen. I had this dilemma and I am hopeful that the money I sent earlier in the month (having reset up the payee) actually got there.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. No it is for my personl account with a credit union. It says on the site that no updates have been made to my account at the credit union since April 3rd.0

I don't know anything about credit unions. But I would have thought it would show up by now.
May be a problem with running updates to the site?
Can you phone and check?:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

So doesn't it need a Reference Number (as well as Sort Code / Account Number) ...... in order to channel to your account? If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

They seem to have gone a bit retrospective on this. There were some changes (SDLT and NIC) announced mid-April but not as comprehensive as this :

..... but note :-There are arrangements in place to continue to receive payments made using the old HMRC bank account details for the time being. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
Yes it does need a refernce along with the account number and sort code like the Bank of Cyprus.
I just spotted this. Note I have the original version on top and the version which I have put in bold and in a readable font at the bottom.

It means that the payee is being slow going through payments and allocating them to the correct account from the reference number.
It may well be a manual process, though even so it ought to have been done by now.0 -
After a phone call and going to my branch it turned out that they did not read the print out properly and missed some customers payments. I would have thought that this would have been solved by checking the balance.0
