Hi

Hope I am posting in the right place, I have just had a very very nasty experience with a company called Matrix debt management. I asked them to remove my number as I am getting calls day and night and tbh I got a bit upset and told them that it was harrassment and that I would report them to TPS. Within 2 mins of putting the phone down someone called me back saying they where going to call the police as I had threatened to blow up their offices!! I DIDN'T.... Then the cheeky horror called back and threatened me!
Any idea who I can report them to apart from TPS because I am getting totally fed up with the phone ringing!

Thanks

Do you think in this current climate, that is appropriate for you to threaten to blow up a companies offices?

Is it any wonder they wanted to call the police. You are lucky your number was not traced and the police turned up at your door.

i told them that I was registered with TPS and was going to report them if they didn't stop ringing me! I am not in the habit of threatening any physical harm on anyone or anything!

They have been giving me silent calls at all times of day and night and I just want to have it stopped. So to reiterate, does anyone know who else I can report them to apart from TPS.

I don't think this isn't a TPS thing. Someone contacting you about a debt you owe (or at least that they think you owe) is not the same thing as cold calls about double-glazing.

If you owe the money you probably want to be posting in the Debt Free Wannabe boards for help with dealing with that and their odious methods of harassing you about it.

If you don't owe the money... well to be honest, the experts there are probably still the best people to ask for help because they'll probably have a better idea about how to deal with debt companies.

Oh come on, how does that help?

Where does not reading a post properly before replying to it rank on your list of appropriate behavior in this climate?

I don't owe anyone! - they are a debt management company who for some reason have my number and a different name a bloke for a start who I have never heard of, nothing to do with me at all or my address as I have been here for 12 years!

Yes some bloke called Tony, even in my dark and distant past I have never had any dealings with anyone called Tony and particulary not at this address!

If you are sure it is them that are harassing you, contact the police and make a formal complaint. Make a complaint to trading standards as well. If their behaviour is as you suggest, they are acting in a criminal fashion.
