I quite like the doggy smell

Unless it's I've-rolled-in-something-nasty doggy smell in which case I don't like it
I like the smell of wet dogs
I work long hours and can't have a dog of my own so have to resort to borrowing other peoples
A doggy smell makes a home for me :j0 -

And when they wriggle free, run downstairs and rub themselves dry on the furniture. I miss having a dog!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
A little bit of baby shampoo is fine just make sure it is washed outLife is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0

My partner is a vet and he says please don't use human shampoo!0

yes, apparently it is the wrong PH and can start off skin problems (even baby shampoo) - doggy skin problems can be a !!!!!! to get rid of too, so probably a false economy to use human shampoo!0

Burns (as in the dog food) do some really nice natural soap and shampoo for dogs. Our dog use to scratch all the time after having a bath so we changed to the shampoo sold by Burns and she is much happier and seems to get rid of the smells. Surely if your desperate though a bath with just plain water be better than nothing?0

I find human shampoo does not get rid of the doggy smell. I use a deodorising dog shampoo and also have a lovely smelling spray that I use most days to make him smell nice. For ridding of the 'I'verolledinsomething andwantotshareitwithyou' smells, dose the area of the fur concerned in ketchup then wipe off and brush out.
I have no idea how someone discovered this but it really does work, especially on faeces of unknown origin. Somedays, I dont miss having a dog....It aint over til I've done singing....0 -
well, the micro fibre towel seemed to get wet very quickly so he dried himself on the carpet, for hours it seemed. then has got all muddy this morning anyway. mmm.0
