Bloody parking fines!!!!!!!!

Coblcris would normally be quite correct. All of the text is important as it is a legal document.
In this case, however, I can assure you that the PCN is correct. I have seen --errrr -- just a few and I have no reason to believe Newham would have changed format in the last couple of months.
The important bit was the 'contravention' in this case, which is also correct providing you were in some kind of parking bay?0 -

Sorry If I made a pigs ear out of this.
I was parked outside my mothers house, you have to either pay or display or display some form of something (lol) ie blue badge or those long stay permits.
I actually did'nt know that a ticket was a legal document. My sister ws given a fine at the same spot as her ticket had ran out by 5 minuets, she called them up to find out why they had put the wrong post code on the ticket, in which case the customer service agent told her the post code was correct as it covered that certain part of newham.
She still appealed it as the information she recieved from the phone call seemed strange, and her parking fine was revoked as apparently the post code on it was incorrect!??!
yes, may need to read a few times to make sence0 -

Don't be daft. Your post was entirely valid. People should show the PCN when asked if not before. In this instance, yeah, i've seen a lot of Newham and know that they are compliant for Reg 9 s at least. It possibly still wouldn't hurt because you never know when some bright spark might decide to change them LOL.
Don't stop asking to see though. It is entirely relevant.0 -
My thanks.0

I am waiting for a reply after trying to appeal! just thought I'd see what happens, will let you know if they ever respond to my letter!0

Oh gawd!!! my best friends!!! LOL
yeah they do sometimes exercise discretion. Certainly not one of the worst for that particularly - but their PCN and appeals processing department is a real mess!!

Basically, even if they say no, they are bound to balls something up along the way!
Hi Neil B, just to let you know that I did click on to this link, and spent an hour or more going through all the posts in the thread! I live of barking road, and everytime i'm near that yellow box, boy am I carefull!
I just think Newham is being so petty in that case, from looking at the pictures its clear to see that the driver was not at fault! at all! and the fact that the driver didnt even recieve the first notification of the fine is mad! The case has dragged on for so long as well, and the fact that they were willing to put the fine down to £80, or £60 (I could not see the figure properly) shows that Newham are at fault, but are still adament on making money from people who are not even at fault!0 -
this recent one is shorter but just as funny already!
