Unless you want a much meatier car you'll hardly notice it.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

And as of next april £20 per year road tax.
It might only have 3 cylinders but it's got 68bhp and at only 800 odd KG
has a better power to weight ratio than many larger more powerful cars.
If you do order one don't be persuaded to buy supagard or expensive Toyota GAP insurance.0 -
Depends what you will use it for. The boot is so small it's unbelievable. If you need to move any household objects ever, forget it. Perfect second car though.0

Don't worry about this little 3 cyl engine being underpowered, it pulls very well and unlike most new cars will pull from tickover revs making it very difficult to stall.
Driven enthusiastically it'll give much bigger engined cars a run for their money.
Do go with the Toyota if you're buying new, the Pug and Cit facelift versions are now as ugly as hell, whilst Toyo must be laughing their socks off.0 -
What are they like for 70mph motorway driving both for power and comfort over longish distances??0

My wife has an 06 C1 so basically the same car. She is looking to get another in July and my youngest DD will have this one.
I even enjoy driving it.(but preferably in the dark, it is a bit girly!!!)
Seriously, DD uses it to travel on the motorway often and doesnt have any problems, and it is really quick away from standstill at traffic lights and junctions.
I have seen two 56 plate C1s locally and they go for £4995, although originally the prices were £5995. I think the garages have had a reality check as new they can be £6500
Economical, cheap to tax and insure.0 -

They are ok - not great. But then you wouldn't be buying an Aygo if you were travelling long distances all the time. Or would you? Personally I wouldn't - I would want something bigger and more comfy for any long distance travel - if it were a regular concurrence, obviously. The odd trip is alright.Genie

We have owned an Aygo blue for the last month. My 25 mile journey to work is mostly duel carraigeway and motorway. I must say i am very impressed with the little car. 70 mph is no problem and the first couple of tanks of fuel have returened 50mpg plus. The only thing i miss, is our last car was a Clio 1.5dci and it had a lot more grunt on the motorway. Even though it was only 65bhp, when you put your foot down at 60-70mph it charged on,the little Aygo feels like you need to change down to get that same shove. I would say buy one, you will love it.What are they like for 70mph motorway driving both for power and comfort over longish distances??0
