If you have a Toyoto Aygo are you happy with it? I don't do a lot of long distance driving and am thinking of getting the model with £35 per year car tax. Any opinions welcome.

Hi Lilac_lady,
My friend has the aygo, and loves it. Another friend has the Peugeot 107 and loves that too. I had a Suzuki Alto which was fantastic but I changed last month and after really looking around at all the £35 a year tax vehicles I opted for a Kia Picanto.
For £6k I got a 58 reg, picanto chill (special edition) which had been a courtesy vehicle. It only had 600 miles on it and is absolutely fantastic. Slightly bigger inside than the aygo, more gadgets (air con, ipod doc) and the boot hatch is a better shape (for when you need to transport huge boxes from ikea).
Would recomend you have a look at the picanto, fab little car!!

looked at the C1 initially ( Citreon version- often cheaper) for my son .. decided it was too small and a bit girly ( I've been driving it sometimes as well). Settled on the 1.4 diesel Peugeot 207 instead - bigger, but good fuel econ and still only £35 pa tax , and group 3 ins ( guess Aygo is 1 ) - C1/ 107 ( guess and Aygo) only 4 seats - strangel;y so does the C2 ( 207 have 5)
Ok had to go 2nd hand instead of new to meet budgetAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
I have had an Aygo Sport for the last 3 years. Love it
but the only drawback is the small boot. Having said that the back seats go down with just a pull of a belt.
Personally, if i buy a car again i would buy a 9/12 month old. You lose at least 2K just driving a new one off the forecourt.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Our Aygo is 2.5 years old. Great motor round town. Easy to park, 45mpg. Only fault in that time is a new water pump replaced under warranty and being a Toyota the dealer expereince has been excellent.0

The Aygo/C1/107 are identical cars. It all depends on your preference for styling. In my experience the service staff at Pug and Citroen garages aren't a patch on those at a Toyota dealership. The man without a signature.0

Toyota servicing is also cheaper.0

D.D comes down regularly from Bedford to Hastings in her 107 and does it in about 2-1/2 hours and still gets a good mpg. Would recommend all of them as the insurance is reasonable as well.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
