  • Wooo £28.99 mystery shopping money appeared in my bank account overnight... I'll have to look at my spreadsheet at home to work out how much of that is profit.

The mortgage payment went out today.. that's another £11.05 OP'd.

Hi littlefred  I know you're a lurker and appreciate your reading and 'thanks'.

  • HI MRN,

I'm a long time lurker on sevreal diaries as it keeps me focused especially since I had a pay cut of about 1/4 of my salary in April. I like to see how like minded people achieve their goals as none of my friends own houses let alone are trying to pay off their mortgages!

Yep! "Sorry, you must have misheard me, I'm collecting fabric to make a door mat, not I am a door mat!"

I know, and I find it nice that you are so dedicated to reading. I just wanted to thank you for your quiet but still felt support for us MFWs. Do you think you'd ever have a diary? If so, please let me know because I'd be a keen follower.

Relative-relations are improving... MrMRN is more of a people person and very good at getting people to do things. He made a big deal about coasters, relative was very apologetic. Relative mentioned it was nice to have somewhere to chill out and MrMRN said we weren't running a health spa :rotfl:. MrMRN sofened the blow of that cutting comment explaining that we live within 2hr train rides from some great cities with lots of culture, architecture and things to do so there's no reason to slob about our house! MrMRN then assisted with online train bookings.

Nothing MFW to report but our Kitchen Fund savings account now has standing orders set up so will increase by £125 per month. This will be the last leg of our full house renovation project and possibly the most expensive! But should improve our LTV..

  • Just mini-progress steps to report today:

    Received £1.35 from £co
Completed my 5th week of packed lunches (Monday was interesting but there's been improvement through the week!)
    Transferred £50 to ISA
    Fitted in 4 gym classes
    NSDs on Wednesday and Thursday
Managed not to strangle visiting relative!

Anyone interested in a relative saga update?

  • Special two part relative saga update:

Well... karma played it's course from earlier in the week and delayed the train of 'visiting relative' back to our house from the day trip MrMRN forced him on! So MrMRN and I got a quiet evening to ourselves.

SIL has been mouthing off about me to OH's family again only this time they'd had enough... so they asked her if "I was that bad, why am I the only member of her family willing to organize her surprise birthday party?"!!! So it's ruined the surprise but made her see I'm not the enemy (and possibly that her family care even less!)!
