Thank you for the kind thoughts.
Well got to Aberdeen nice and early, found office and had a nice non-splatterable lunch.
Chat was with consultancy who'd like me to lead a contract on a client's site. They've decided they want to work with me and we're doing a pitch to the client together next week. Hopefully lead to an initial bit of work this year and more next.
Really exciting bit is that work may include some spells abroad to "unusual" places. I would be very grateful if you would start a special little "Saving up to pay Jenn's Ransom" thread.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. When we've a signed contract then I'll believe it. Not that I'm cynical or anything
What was nice was having a sit down chat about business strategies and being told I know what I'm talking about. After 7 months of nothing from agencies apart from false promises it helped my sanity if nothing else :T:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Oh yay that sounds good, glad to hear it :j0

Well I've been invited to the pitch next week as the consultancy's expert whoo hoo. So win pitch, get contract...piece of cake really
Spent today at hospital with OH then mystery shop where I left the receipt behindthen dentist then then then. Just sat down.
On the good side I've written 2 court summons so that may help concentrate a couple of minds. Reached an agreement with another tenant so she can pay her arrears off in a year.
Weekend of business plans, proposals and drafts ahead. Two OU assignments due by end of month as well. OH getting involved with some bits now and he's more OU stuff coming up too. Should keep us out of trouble for a wee bit.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Heavens woman you sound busy.
Have a cup of tea right away, that'll sort you out!0 -
Court papers filed so that's 3 lots in now.
£40 appeared from someone today. They walked into our bank handed it over with account details and then walked out. No name, no address, no ******* idea who it's from!
Is it me rant rant or wouldn't you like the person you're paying money to, to know you've just paid them money grrrrrrr.
Going to do prep for the account pitch on Wednesday morning...want us to get it so much...coming round to the idea of work and money again...trying hard not to get excited, but if I don't get excited I won't get enthusiastic and do a semi-decent pitch. Oh the drama of it all.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
