Lastminute.com Secret Hotel Barcelona

Impulse took over and I've booked the top secret 5 star Barcelona hotel for £89 for 2 nights.

Hotel is Hesperia Tower Barcelona which is in the financial district (always a catch its a bit out of the way surrounded by a hospital and on a motorway ....).

Anyone been? I'm especially trying to suss out which airport to use as the hotel is 20-25 mins outwith the city centre.

Their website (http://www.hesperia.com/hotels/Hesperia-Tower/how-to-get-there/?cambio=C5CAT37) says its 10km from the airport so why would you fly into anywere else? They also offer a free shuttle bus to/from the airport and also Placa Catalunya (3 times a day).

Flying into Rues or Girona would mean a possibly cheaper flight, but for convenience, it has to be Barcelona. (And for two nights, I would waste the travelling time unless your regional airport of choice doesn't have flights to BCN)

Jet2 have currently got offer flights, might be worth looking at.

Thanks for replies, checked out flights and Glasgow/Edinburgh cheapest is Ryanair flying to Gerona by about £200 so no contest really. Pity as we will spend a lot of time travelling.

I would suggest not to fly to Reus or Girona as they are quite far from Barcelona. From Luton you can fly Easyjet at a very good price

This 4-star hotel is next to Sants Railway Station

I can't seem to get the hotel will keep looking.,.

Been searching like mad ended up booking an apartment near where I'm going to a wedding but interesting enough I found this site below which seems to be where lastminute get most of their descriptions from.
