Looking at showhomes

You can just say to the saleperson, is it OK if I take a look round the showhomes? I have never had anyone say no. Sometimes they will ask if you have a home to sell, but I usually say I am just interested in seeing what they have on offer, or more recently I have told them I am considering a buy-to-let (which was true!).0

Some reps try too hard because of people like me! Home buying should be a relaxed experience. If you're honest about your intentions....no probs. In any case, if you're not a buyer yourself and you like what you see, you might tell someone who is!
You're all welcome to view whatever your motives. Just dont steal from us. Is a tatty ornament worth a criminal record?
You'd be surprised what we lose.0 -
your most welcome on any development to view the showhome , the sales reps are there to make sure you view what your looking for, after all we cant have every house type as a showhome, they will answer every question you ask, a working site bible is held on site that lists everything to with the development so they will be able to look up charges etc if they dont know them off the top of their head.
the reason they ask questions is to make sure that you are aware of all the house types and deals going, ie part exchange etc.
I sat in the local hairdressers being told how lovely the showhome and sales staff were even though the person was just looking, how nice to hear, I explained that lots of our sales come via 3rd party introductions, this lady was selling our properties to anyone that would listen.
Enjoy your visit.
P>S> Keep children close by you, the developments can be a dangerous places, site traffic is constant and safety fences are there for a reasonmy bark is worse than my bite!!!!!!!!0 -
I'm sure there are plenty of people that have gone to view a showhome for decorating ideas and ended up buying a property. There's no wonder the developers don't mind.
They're incredibly seductive.
I'ma sucker for a showhome; luckily my husband isn't, otherwise we'd move house even more than we do! Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
