Internet Cleanup: History Item Removal

I would appreciate some advice how to remove two history entries detailed on “Internet Cleaner“.

The following information is listed:
1) URL (web address) Expires: 06/01/2009 @ 11.55
2) URL (web address) Expires: 06/01/2009 @ 11.59
3) URL (web address) Expires: 05/31/2009 @ 9.32

I have removed item 2), no idea how, but can’t get rid of the remaining two.
All three are the same web address.
Thank you anyone who can help with simple instructions.
Vegie.

Just run the CCleaner it's free, safe and one of the best tools.
  • Are you just wanting them to be removed or can all the internet history go?

Use a decent browser like Firefox and you can specify "Always clear my private data when I close Firefox"

Or select 'delete browsing history on exit' under IE8's internet options, you can delete everything from there too.

    Hi all,

I have Internet Explorer version 8.0.6001.18702 and I cannot seem to delete my search history. I have tried:

    1. Tools - Delete Browsing History (all boxes ticked) - Delete
    2. Tools - Internet Options - Delete Browsing History on exit
    3. CCleaner
    4. Disk Cleaner.

Despite doing any or all of the above, when I select the down arrow on the address bar, a list of sites appears.

If I start typing in a web address (e.g money....) a list of pages previously visited appears.

    Whats going on?

Problem, I think only started when I updated the Internet Explorer to Version 8.

My "Windows Update" is fully upto date, expect for about 8 optional ones - none of which appear to have anything to do with Internet Explorer.

    Any help appreciated.

    Cheers

Thats not site history. Thats google search. click the arrow next to the main box and select to 'clear search history'. Then goto the options and untick the option to 'save search history'

Thanks but sorry, I cant seem to follow.

Click arrow next to main box....not sure which arrow you mean... Cant find an arrow where after clicking it, it says 'clear search history'

Also, within Tools - Internet Options - there is nowhere that has a tick option for 'save search history' and so I cant untick it.
