Just a few comments from me,
I think the son that's at college should be paying his own bus fares, I was paying mine at 15 before I got any help aged 16. Look into applying for bursarys or grants.
 Thankyou
I will look into any funding things regarding his bus fare. He DOES get EMA (Education Maintenance Allowance) £30 a week. But he keeps that... I have tried to talk to him about getting a part time job.. (like some of his friends) but he doesn't want to know... I think I will talk to him again about giving me the £25 per month.. that still leaves him £95 .. which is more than I flippin get!Very proud of trying to deal with my debts. LBM 04/09

If your eldest isn't prepared to help you out, he should at least pay for his own bus pass (oh and not get pocket money as well!)0

Some very good advice on here! I definitely think your son needs to get less from you, especially as he's already getting money for college. he should definitely at least pay his own bus fares. that IS in his intertest. maybe you could sit him down and explain it to him!
Also is there any way you can chase your ex for the money! that seems like a cop out to me! Doesn't he HAVE to pay something? I thought it was law or something?
I definitely think you should be able to do a DMP with that (be it on your own or through payplan or cccs). Why don't you give national debtline a call. they are really helpful and easy to talk to!
good luck with it all. hope you can get some kind of plan sorted out!DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 261Debt at start of DMP (Jan 2009) = 46,147.86 Now = 36,826.98DFD = [STRIKE]Jan 2014[/STRIKE] May 2013 ([strike]60[/strike] [STRIKE]52[/STRIKE] 41 payments to go)NSD:Nov 12/12:jDec 9/10 Jan 5/10Slowly but surely:coffee:0

Well I DID try to get the free broadband (they offer with it).. but they said I couldnt because that option wasn't available in my area.. I have multiroom.. so thats £10 of the bill. I could take that off. (it goes to my bedroom.. and I never watch tv in bed anyway.. so that can go)
£6 of it is for free (redial each hr) calls around the world.. need that for my sisters abroad.
So £10 I could knock off that.. the rest I'm kind of stuck with. (i think) Very proud of trying to deal with my debts. LBM 04/09 Very proud of trying to deal with my debts. LBM 04/09
