Hi, I have just tried to login and print out my cnfirmation of a hotel booking i made on 16th April this year (for travel in June), and the company have ceased trading!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know how to go about claiming my moneyback as I was waiting to purchase travel insurance until just before we went. I paid by my nationwide visa debit card, does anyone know if I can claim from them?

We had this problem when Oasis airlines went bust. We'd paid with a Nationwide Visa Debit card and managed to claim our money back. Nationwide were pretty good, other people weren't so lucky with their banks/building societies.

Just a word of warning about travel insurance - don't assume that bankruptcy of your travel agent would have been covered, airline failure usually isn't. In fact, don't assume anything's covered until you read the small print right through!
