I picked up some coupons in Sainsbury last week (mentioned in an earlier post) for the side dishes. I think there may have been a sampling but it was being cleared up as I got there. It would be nice to have a printable coupon though.2008£3002009£13002010£15002011£41952012£21942013£1494

I had a good find yesterday. A £110 till receipt was in the trolly I picked up on the way in.
I also had a double club card points coupon to use. I went to customer service before I shopped, had 220 points added to my club card. :j0 -
I've had my clubcard points in post too. yipee.....
I remember going shopping at midnight once, and bought some flowers using partly coupons and partly cash. On my way out I managed to pick up loads of receipts (so gud at that time as no-one is looking) which had unclaimed points on them. Was driving out and kept stopping the car as there was loads of receipts crying to be picked up (felt so wierd as I would never do something like that in broad daylight with onlookers). There are usually cleaners in the car park brushing up, but at that time there was no one around and I think I must have bagged myself a good 200 points just from those receipts - was well chuffed. had to go to different tescos to claim the points as mine only takes 2 at any one time, but it was no probs as they were all on route. Dont you just love free points..................0 -
Welcome to the world of couponing!:j Be careful though, it's addictive!!;)
Thank you
Started today in Asda, bought one of the Huggies boxes-was turning each one upside down to look for a magic 3 but the best i could find was a 2. Still quite pleased with that as it had £5 worth of vouchers in (which im sure you all knew already!)
So between that and going through the list of companies/coupons etc, im on my way0 -
Keep reading this thread & chatting with the rest of us, Karen. Before you know it you will have built up a nice little coupon stash.
If you usually spend more than £30 per transaction in Tesco, don't miss buying the Sun every day next week (from tomorrow) for a nice £5 off £30 spend & Save Morrisons voucher to start you off.
Tesco is the only Supermarket which accepts other stores 'spend & save' vouchers. Be confident and politely insistent with it at the till (cashiers and Supervisors may try to deny it's OK/say their store doesn't take them/say the nearest Morrisons is too far away to be a rival).
Any excuse on these spend & saves is codswallop (old trouts are good at codswallop).:DPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

not such a good couponing day for me today:mad:
Went to my tocal T's this morning and it was trout after trout on the checkout. Found the friendliest looking sa ( young girl, so thought I couldn't go wrong..........) She would only take coupons up the value of 50% of my balance. Have come acrossthis before in this store, so didn't push it, paid the £8 balance and left, making a mental note to avoid the sa in future.
Went out of town this afternoon, and passed another store so popped in for a couple of other bits. Mainly young studenty looking chaps on the checkout, bonus, they're the best..........
He wouldn't accept ANY of my coupons, because 'I hadn't bought the product'. He clearly knew nothing about the coupon policy, I explained that I didn't need to buy the item, Tesco are the only supermarket that allowed this blah blah blah........he then called over a supervisor, who knew nothing either:eek: she took my coupons( a £2 finish, and 2x 25p pik a paks)to the duty manager...........came back and said if they scan I can use them. SA said, 'oh no, I can't scan them now, I saw you with cash in your hand and have entered the amount into the till already:eek:
Ok, so it's not the end of the world, the total spend was only £3.90 (thank god), so I took my shopping and kindly informed them that I would be giving my custom back to my local stores, who are aware of the company policies:rolleyes:
I know we are really lucky that Tesco do allow coupons to be used like this, but I do wish that they'd bloody educate the staff on it :mad:Comping wins

Hi, I just found this link yesterday and so desperately want to give it a bash. We have loads of Tescos but no Morrison for over 20 miles. I need a shop tomorrow and I'd love to be able to do it for as little (if anything). Anything you can suggest to give me a head start would be very gratefully received.
I'm a bit nervous about the cashiers not knowing policy, is it ever worth phoning the store before you go and innocently checking I've got the policy right and then when I turn up they'll know (or quickly find someone who does)?
Thank you all in advance.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Thanks for the welcome Coupon-mad, im off on holiday tomorrow for a week, so haven't chosen the best time to start but will hopefully arrive home to some lovely coupons on the mat, as have been registering all evening
Seems like a nice wee community on here-glad to be a (very) small part of it and look forward to chatting and sharing experiences.0
