Well that doesn't really affect me, as I don't ever expect to pay for all my shopping with MOCs - I usually do a quick mental calculation as I go round the store, and buy £3 or £4 more shopping than I have MOCs. So, theoretically, I am paying cash for my lottery ticket(s) and getting everything else free.

Talking of competitions (like the lottery, tenuous link coming) as it's the first of June I was hoping some of my mates on here might like to put this MSE funtrivia quiz on their favourites and play along every day. A new month's quiz tournament starts today (I am Coupon-maddest on there):

    http://my.funtrivia.com/tournament/MoneySavingExpert-egghead-quiz-74209.html

It's just for fun and some of the questions are too American-based for some of us (except Sher!) but recently there have only been about 4 people playing each month. We need some new members and it would be nice to have something else fun to do when the coupon-chat gets a bit quiet.

BTW the day's questions change about 4am I think. The quiz is timed, so you have to try to be quick. Don't ever play between 10am and 11am as they do some sort of system update then - you can end up with it looking as though you took half an hour to answer 10 questions!

Each person gets random questions so if one person only gets a few right and someone else gets 10 they probably had easier qs (or ones they had seen before!). Qs do get repeated so try to remember the right answers for next time...:D
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

But...you are not supposed to buy lottery tickets with coupons. For instance, if you are using a Tesco conditional spend the till will beep if you haven't spent enough, apart from your lottery ticket. With other coupons, the till won't know any different but the cashier should do and may get in trouble if they accidentally let you pay with mocs for a lottery ticket.

Completely agree with CM. Use this facility to save queuing, don't try and buy with moc's as you will get SA in trouble if they are naive enough and alienate the staff in general.

If you are going to do the lottery anyway then it's a bonus that you can do it at the same time but please don't start playing just because you think you can use moc's to pay for it! Remember it is a lottery and you are unlikely to win! (I have not even had £10 in nearly 4 years:eek:) If you have the moc's buy food/booze/a treat with them:D
:p:p Have a good [STRIKE]Tesc[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Asd[/STRIKE]WHO? day - Err....I still wish Mozzies had a better website even though they are now on MyS! :p:p :rotfl:;)

As far as I know it's only lucky dips that you get at the tills but I'm not sure whether or not it could be seen as coupon abuse by the store to use coupons to buy your lottery tickets. Maybe someone like VC or M4rtin or Coupon Mad may know please.:confused::confused::confused: I would just hate to see more stores change their policies just when we all need them to take lots of coupons.

So if you buy it with a couple of couponnet 40p offs, then you are getting paid to buy the bread:beer:.
