Decided to visit a store 9 miles away as mine will only accept one coupon.

Upon arriving, i checked if the Morrisons coupon was OK to use and they said yes.

I knew i would still have a problems at the till, so i put that coupon in one pocket, and a wad of others in another.

At the till, i handed over the morrisons coupon on its own, and was told they could not take it. He checked with surrounding staff, and was told i would have to go to morrisons to use it. I told him to call someone.

The line manager said is was fine, and after she and everyone else had gone, i pulled out my wad of 20+ coupons, and all were accepted. Total saving 23 quid.

I just wish i could be bothered going there more often. I called at my local store on the way home, and got some cornettos and magnums with a coupon and sat in the garden with my freebies. Happy days :D

Following on from the Ecover emails....someone has emailed me back to inform me that they have had PMs from some-one on this thread offering to sell couponnet coupons on a regular basis.
I have been told who it is, but am not going to embarrass them with naming and shaming :A (at this stage!:p), but I think you all know what I can be like when I get on my high-horse about something;););)

aw... come on VC, u spoil sport.... name & shame pls ...... so we can have a look out for that particular person(s) as well, when it comes to PM in our inbox. Don't like that particular person(s) take advantage of PM & then sell it on ebay or to regular MSE's. B.I.G... M.I.S.T.A.K.E!!!

Daily Mail page 25 £2.70 off House and Garden valid till June 3rd.

This looks like a regional offer as in the copy of the Mail I've just borrowed (Sheffield area) the only coupon is also on page 25 but is a £1 MOC for Hello mag, which is NSS and expires 03/06/09.

.....has anyone else had trouble printing the compeed coupon? I received the email and tried to print but nothing :confused::confused:
    Any ideas ???
    Thanks

Hi Angiebee, yep, those of us who are MAC users had no luck - not even a chance to request a snail mail version, so I sent an email to Compeed [ :o:o].and a coupon arrived a couple of days later.

The email sent in the same sitting to McCain's re: their £10 voucher booklet also bore fruit and I received it just in time to use the 31May coupons yesterday.
:A:A Sincere thanks to Perranlady for the Compeed coupon; and Claire21, Princess Coupon & Judy2357 for their encouraging posts about emailing McCain :A:A

Other stuff:.... Well, here I was the other night, chortling at Mad's "trouting" post, and guess what happened yesterday :rotfl: ...... Yep. Well and truly :D
Yesterday I visited my usual nice Mr T's with approx £10 vouchers, hoping to use them towards a £17 shop.
Unfortunately the SA took £4 of the coupons and gave back the rest, saying that they were "too much" and that I couldn't [expect to] pay for all of my shopping by using coupons. I therefore asked [nicely] if she could tell me what the limit was so that the same mistake could be avoided in future, which I didn't get a reply to, so then I asked if I could check the correct figure/value with a supervisor for the same reason. Unfortunately this was either misunderstood or ignored, as the lady kept repeating that there was nothing to query, but did eventually summons someone, who directed me to customer services. Now, I am as a rule polite to SAs and go with the flow if one or two vouchers aren't acceptable for any reason, but unfortunately here, it felt as if the SA's decision was being made based on disapproval/personal inconvenience rather than the correct rules.

.. The young customer services SA was very helpful, said my coupons were all OK, and confirmed what we know to be correct policy. Once all had been sorted out/scanned etc, I thanked him, and apologised [for delay] to the couple waiting behind me at the customer service desk. If looks could kill.....

Phew:rolleyes:... all I can say is that while couponning is a godsend financially, it ain't doing my blood pressure any good...

Still, from reading the posts here, the above [& worse] has happened to everyone here, so I'll keep on keeping on..... Good luck this week, all, and thanks for the continuing info and support

It's the end of my 2nd week as a couponer, and it’s been fascinating to read about people’s differing experiences. Some of you are very lucky!

I’ve realized that you have to be thick skinned in this game. I’ve been trouted occasionally and it has been frustrating and upsetting. I find it’s always best to be nice and polite.

The staff are human too and deserve to be treated with sensitivity and respect, as we all do. If you’re argumentative or unpleasant then they have a reason to ban you, and we all suffer. We’re all more likely to get trouted if some people are deemed to be abusing the policy or the staff.

I have just discovered that you can buy national lottery tickets along with your shopping at the checkouts in Tesco - I seldom bother buying lottery tix as I think they're a bit of a waste of money, but I can certainly see me budgetting £1 of MOCs per shop to add one to my shopping basket every time I visit!

(Incidentally I did this on Saturday, but did not win any millions. This has made me sad)
