Mobile broadband in France for 1 week: suggestions?

Am going to France for a week later this year. Anyone got any recommendations for a PAYG mobile broadband package?

UK providers are still hugely expensive roaming abroad so I assume that I'll need to look at French providers offering PAYG, though these too seem much more expensive that in the UK.

Any suggestions / experiences most welcome.

    Thanks devizes18193

Not sure that 3 operate in France unfortunately (I use 3 in the UK). Will probably have to get a PAYG package from France Telecom, Bouyges or Orange - though all seem expensive compared to UK - hence asking if anyone has any experience of doing this themselves.

I think most of the modems are locked to the provider with internal software too so my UK 3 modem may not work in France, even with a French SIM. Again, if anyone know whether this is the case or not, would be helpful for planning ahead

    Cheers.

I wouldn't advise using your uk sim abroad as they just eat the credit at an amazing rate. Try parking up in a mcdonalds and using the free wifi.
To use your dongle you will need to unlock your dongle. search for 'unlock dongle' on ebay. Keep us informed which sim you get and what deal as I would like to know myself.
