Survey Stashing: YouGov hints & tips

I get emails about surveys and when I click on the link and am taken to the Yougov site there is a message telling me the survey is now closed and this is within seconds of getting the email
It has happened just now with their Oracle survey that says it only takes 10 minutes ot do, but can actually take 20 minutes or more if you are doing it right.
It took me over two years to get £50 and a lot of their surveys now are "prize Draws" I bet they still charge the people who commision the "prize draw" surveys.
I think they are a very sharp crowd of individuals:j0 -
I too am pretty skeptical as I am nearing £50 and somehow the surveys seem to be drying up. My account log on YouGov shows about two or three a week coming in, then less, then less, virtually nothing in December. And here I sit at £48.50, waiting, waiting. . .

I'm in the same boat. I'm slowly creeping up to payout level but the only surveys I've received since well before xmas have been sweepstake entries not cash paying! :rolleyes:0 -
I joined YouGov in 2003 and over time have worked up to about £40.
Had not had any survey requests recently so last year tried to login - didn't seem to work to tried Password Reset - twice, unsuccessfully.
No reply to my email to supportuk@yougov.com
With the forthcoming election tried to Login / Reset Password again today, my login email address does not appear to be recognised.
Looks as if their system has lost my account - so how secure are their survey results ?!
Anyway have emailed them again asking to have my login and account balance made operational again; I await their reply !0 -
I only need 50p for my next £50 payment.
YouGov asked me to do several 'Premier account' surveys, but I've never received a reward.
Anyone else?0 -
My YouGov balance is showing 4975, so I only need 25 points to get my £50 cheque!
3 50 point surveys in the last week, but it''s usually been slow for a while (nearly 5 years for £50.. wouldn't bother with them again!)
Cheers,

I got £50 from them last year, but it took about 3 years to get there and the rate of surveys definitely slowed down quite significantly as I got closer to the threshold, and then speeded up again immediately afterwards. I had a friend who also had this experience so it seems less than coincidental.
I've found, as with many survey sites, that it pays to check in every day or two as they don't always email me when there's a new survey.0 -
Yougov a while back split off into YouGOv, Premium Yougov and Heartbeat Yougov. Needless to say I have never had a Premium Yougov that actually pays anything and strangly enough was the questions we used to earn 50p on before they separated it. heartbeat I had about 3 surveys ever for nothing.
I have been paid 2 times since I joined in 2004, the people that seem to make the most money are the people that can refer lots of people on a regular basis, a referral earns you 3 months of what your referal earns.Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740 -
I just spent a while searching for my profile, to update it. Having failed to find it, I looked in the Support and FAQs section, and found this:It is no longer possible to update your other details in the same way that it was under the old system of logging into your account and editing a profile survey. We will now be sending you an annual refresher survey where you will be able to update details such as marital status, household status and working status.0
